Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden at a scenic ruined church and graveyard. You can park within a few meters of the cache but be sure to spend some time enjoying the location.

The cache is hidden close to Clomantagh Church, which dates from the 12th century. In the field to the back of the church is Clomantagh Castle, which was erected in the 1430s. The castle originally belonged to Pierce Ruadh, Earl of Ormond, and was passed down through the family until it was forfeited under the Cromwellian regime to Lieutenant Arthur St.George.
