There are trees and grass and a sidewalk at the posted coordinates, but no cache, and no benchmark. You need to do a projection to find the coordinates for the benchmark, and use the benchmark number to project to the final.
The City of Cedar Park has benchmarks placed around the city. This cache takes you to one of them.
- To find the benchmark disk, project 800 ft at 260 degrees from the posted coordinates.
- Once you have found the benchmark disk, locate the number stamped on the disk.
- To find the coordinates for the cache, project from the benchmark 798.5274 ft at bearing (stamped number * 13.5940). (If the resulting bearing is greater than 360, then subtract 360 from it.)
You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
Be prepared and bring a writing utensil. Also, it should go without saying that one should not post a picture of the actual benchmark disk. Doing so will cause the log to be deleted.
