Geocache Description:

A simple cache in a historic cemetery in the Village of Newtown, Ohio.

Cemetery visitation hours are from sunrise to sunset. Visitors must enter/exit through designated gates.

In 2010, Max Rays put out the original version of this cache. Unfortunately he moved out of the area in 2014 and the cache was archived in 2015. This is a re-creation of that cache with a slightly different container.

From the original cache:

"This is one of my growing list of geocaches that I have placed to take you to the site of a prehistoric Ohio Indian mound. See #27 on page 159 of "Indian Mounds of the Middle Ohio Valley."

This cache is hidden in the Flagg Spring Cemetery (also known as the Odd Fellows [I. O. O. F.] Cemetery) in Newtown, Ohio. What is noteworthy about this site is that it contains two ancient Adena era Indian mounds. The primary mound is in the center of the cemetery. The second mound is much lower and is by the entrance fence."

Wikipedia's Article on the Newtown Mounds

As Max Rays would say: "Congratulations go to kim--possible for First to Find."
