MacFarlane Woods Nature Reserve protects a fine example of old growth hardwood forest. Despite extensive clearing of surrounding lands in the 1800's the top of this was left undisturbed. The landowner has ensured that this unique forest will remain undisturbed, by joining with the province to proect this special place.
MacFarlane Woods is open daily from sunrise to dark, and makes an ideal 2-3 hours walk.
