Today is National Chocolate Ice Cream Day. While that might mean nothing for geocaching (ah, who am I kidding?!), chocolate ice cream, and it’s many variations, might be the brain food you need to get past some puzzle roadblocks, or simply give your grey matter a rest from puzzling.
This month we’ll take a look at GC19EFV - A Maze in Grace. If you like logic puzzles, this should be right up your alley. If you’re not adept or familiar with them, this could be a good chance to learn a tricky one. Bring a couple copies of the puzzle itself, in case you have to start over with a clean slate.
This event is a little different each month. There may be a short tutorial on some aspect of puzzle solving, many usually get together on some teasers that won't give up answers easily, a cache or two may be presented for exercise, and sometimes it's a purely social get-together. You don't have to work on puzzles to enjoy this gathering. But if you want to, you'll have plenty of others willing to dig in with you. We continue to see successes at each of these get togethers, and lots of smiles at the end of the evening.
Bring your puzzle paraphenalia - cache listing, laptop or tablet, theories and worksheets, and your (sp)eye glasses - you never know who will show up, and what kind of help you might encounter. Maybe you'll be able to help someone else with their dilemma, too. Or maybe you’ve recently cracked a tough one and want to see the wheels spinning while others tackle it. If you have a topic you'd like to learn more about in future events, feel free to make note of it in your logs.
