Geocache Description:

Find the cache, pick the lock to get to the log!

You will need to bring your own lockpicking tools to get to the log. Raking, picking, bumping, whatever non-destructive method you want to use to open it is acceptable. Please don't damage the lock, or the container.  I'd love to see a pic of an open lock with your log entry! I will occasionally check the log in the cache to make sure cachers actually got inside and then update the log here as necessary. Finding the cache is only the first step!  If you are not able to pick the lock, just log it as a DNF and then try again another day. I have some caches with difficult locks that have been attempted MANY times, so don't feel discouraged. Lockpicking is a skill that takes practice to develop. Feel free to message me with questions.

Here is a list of all my lockpicking caches with more to come for sure! Lockpicking Cache List

This is a generic lock very similar to the Master No 3. it has 4-pins, but the challenge on this one will be evident when you get there.

There are more to come in this series and each will be increasingly more difficult. Please place the cache back in the same way you found it as to provide the same challenge for others. Good Luck!

If you are concerned about laws regarding lockpicking, the tools are legal to have in Washington and are treated like bolt cutters, don't be trespassing at night and you likely won't have any problems. RCW 9A If you have no experience lockpicking, I recommend doing some research and practice. YouTube would be a great start. You have my full permission to pick the lock on my geocaches. Stay safe, and stay legal.
