Geocache Description:

This cache is not accessible from the highway and there is no need to be anywhere near the roadway when searching for the cache.

This cache is near a bridge built in the 40s that crosses Green Pond Brook, and used to be part of the north bound lanes of Route 15. This section of roadway was built in the mid 40s and was the first section of Route 15 to become a divided highway.

This section of Route 15 was then used until the late 60s when Route 80 was being built and the roadway was again moved to meet with Route 80 the way we know it today. This bridge has sat hidden away in the middle of nowhere ever since.

The cache container is a small L&L hidden near this bridge. The area can be accessed by an unmarked trail which runs along side Green pond Brook, off the West morris Greenway trail. Do not attempt to access the cache from Route 15, and there is no need to be anywhere near the roadway when searching.
