How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Number 570 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.
The only rules  that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.

The Fine Pair series was originally started by wizardsmum but is now managed by mattd2k. If anybody would like to place 'A Fine Pair' of their own please do. I would just ask that you first visit to request a number to avoid any duplication mattd2k also keeps a public Bookmark List of this series. Once your cache is published please contact him via at to have yours added.

There is normally parking available adjacent to the "Fine Pair" please don't block the access to the house next to the phone box.

Now to find the cache you will have to work out the location. The phone has now been removed from the box so look at the telephone post behind. What is the first number missing number in the top row on the post label, this is A. In the bottom row what is position in the alphabet of the first missing letter, this is B. On the post box what hour is the collection on Monday-Friday this is C. What hour is the collection on a Sunday this is D. Cache is at N5.42.CA(D-10) W002.B(D-2).(A+2)B(C-B). The cache is about 1000 feet away with pavement all the way. There is also off road parking next to cache location for those who don't want to walk but please don't block the gateway as it is the entrance to a house.
