Geocache Description:

Join us at Emmanuel Episcopal Church on January 21st, 2017 from 5-9pm for a 10 years celebration!
 We will start with the 10th Annual Milestones Meet-n-Greet and conclude with the 5th edition of the Hidey Awards, a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the first Hidey Awards.

Milestones Meet-n-Greet Info


The milestones portion of the event will include a pot luck dinner in the Emmanuel Episcopal Church Parish Hall. Please bring an entree, dessert, salad, or soft drink to share. When you decide what you're bringing, please add your name and item(s) to the food sign up list below. You will notice that we do have some desired items already listed on the spreadsheet. You may opt to bring of those or add your own item. Lastly, we reserve the right to stop accepting certain food items based on need.

Our usual chili cook will not be available this year, however you are welcome to bring chili the potluck. If you want to bring chicken or beef chili, plan to make about 30 servings (10 for vegetarian). These numbers may be adjusted based on need. Chili recipes from previous milestones events are below:

As usual, we will also recognize those who are celebrating any "00", "000", or "0000" milestones. If you would like a milestones certificate, please add your name and milestone to the milestones certificate sign up sheet below by January 4th. If your name is not on the sheet by the 4th, we will assume you do not want one.

Hidey Awards Info


The Hidey Awards is an event held every 2-3 years that celebrates the best caches in the Hampton Roads area. Geocaches are nominated by members of the geocaching community for a number of different categories. Up to 10 caches are selected to be nominated for each category and these caches are then voted upon by the geocaching community to win a Bronze, Silver, or Gold Hidey Award.

There are 14 categories being recognized at this event:

Outstanding Multi-Cache

Outstanding Historical Cache
