Alternate Dana Adobe Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

BrynMrk: Despite having only one DNF I decided to check on this one anyway. Unfortunately I was not able to find this cache in and about where it should have been. I moved my search further away but came up empty.

It could be buried deep in the deadfall from the tree, but after twenty minutes of digging, I think I did more than what I would expect from most cachers.

This one had a good run but I'm going to let it go. Thinking of making a new cache for this area, but if someone wants to beat me to it, there won't be any hard feelings.

Thanks to all who visited. Archiving now...

Dana Adobe

The Dana Adobe or "Casa de Dana" is a historic building in Nipomo, California. It was the home of Boston sea captain William Dana, who in 1837 was granted the 37,888-acre Rancho Nipomo in Southern California. Captain Dana hosted figures such as Henry Tefft and John C. Fremont in his Nipomo home, which also served as an important exchange point on California's first official mail route between Monterey and Los Angeles.

If the Dana Adobe is closed and you are unable
to grab the cache there, here is an always available alternate!
