THE CLIMB CAN START ABOUT 7:00AM ON THE SATURDAY MORNING FROM THE CAR PARK AT MT. WARNING. HOWEVER, ANYONE CAN START AT A TIME THAT SUITS THEM BEST DURING THE SATURDAY OR SUNDAY.
This should allow for people to get there that morning if needed, and also for those who don't wish to get up so early but still want to do the climb. THE RANGERS RECOMMEND THAT CLIMBING ONLY BEGIN IN THE MORNING AND NOT IN THE AFTERNOON, TO ALLOW PLENTY OF TIME TO COME DOWN AGAIN BEFORE IT GETS DARK.
The event itself begins in the late afternoon for an opportunity for people to talk over their climb and any other experiences caching around the area they'd like to share. We can all meet together at the event site at 5:30pm - 7:30pm, but some may wish to stay longer, for some social time after the climb and after an afternoon of caching in the area or relaxing at the event site.
The difficulty/terrain will obviously be different for those climbing the mountain but the D/T we have placed here is for the gathering place.
There can be camping for those that wish to camp. We can have a big campfire on the property. There is a creek for those who wish to relax and wade. There may be other activities available at the event site but confirmation of those will come when I receive them.
