Geocache Description:

This cache is located in a water meadow owned by us, the National Trust of Guernsey, which is managed as a hay meadow and is full of wildlife and flowers, including many orchids.

In spring you can see several species of wild orchids, including the striking purple Loose-flowered Orchid, which does not occur in mainland Britain.

The granite seat in the field was donated to the Trust in memory of Chris Bean 1940-1993.

Parking is available at the National Trust carpark by the Ron Short Walk, which is a 5 minute walk away.

To find this cache you do not need to go near the orchids or the wetlands.

Wellies (and perhaps insect repellent) are advisable.  Please take care and avoid excessive trampling of the vegetation.
