The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail is a wonderful cycling trail between Wangaratta and Bright, with a side track running from Everton Station to Beechworth. The trail is suitable for road bikes.

These are essentially caches placed for cyclists using the trail so car drivers may need to park and "walk the walk".

This little section of the trail between Everton Station and the Horseshoe Creek is a pleasant ride and I have discovered a few interesting places to stop along the way.  Here by the track there WERE some very old and weathered fence timbers from the times when the farmers were still using this land. Sadly in the past few weeks (June 2018) they have been chain-sawed and taken for firewood.
