Various hikes will be lead by local geocachers during the time you are in our beautiful City. There are different hikes to suit everyone, from the Sunday-walk-the dog-to-the-park cacher, to the craziest extreme adrenaline junkie, and everybody else in between. Pick a hike that suit you, and come and enjoy a walk with us on the mountains of Cape Town. Have a look at the hike rating to get an idea of what kind of hike you can expect. Take note of what you need to bring along for the hike you choose. @Safetymountain will be informed of all our hikes, and will assist in case of any unforseen situation. Every Hike leader will have a first aid kit with him/her as well. Please log your will attend in advance.

Drive past the Lower Cableway Station and follow the winding road until you get barred from going any further by a blockading boom. Park here and enjoy the amazing view. You know, us Capetonians are so spoiled with all this beauty around us that we sometimes forget to just stand still, soak it all in and appreciate it. Beyond that boom cars can not go no more, you'll soon see why. But that does mean that it is a safe place to hike, jog or cycle. A little birdie told me that there will also be quite a few new caches to be found there today. Enjoy the hike. It is an easy walk, but please keep an eye on the young ones.
This hike is rated 1Aa (See Hike Rating Image) - Hike Duration : 2 Hours.
