UCA2016: Bonus Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

juniorwoodchuckhuey: The UCA 2016 season has been over for some time. So I am taking down this bonus cache. As of today, the series had a total of 865 logs and 288 favorites.

I'm going to Maritime Mega (GC6MET1) in Truro NS, on Aug 5, 2017!

Geocache Description:

To find this geocache, you must find codes in the other 16 geocaches in the UCA 2016 series. Use those codes in the puzzle below to determine the final coordinates. If you forgot to record one of the numbers, message or email me. In a real pinch (e.g. up for the day and just about to go home), call my home number - Hugh Chipman in Wolfville (I'm in the phone book).

This cache will be archived after the UCA 2016 season ends. I will leave it up until sometime in November, in case anyone wants to log the final after finding the other art.

Congratulations to Stick People for FTF and being first to claim the very appropriate bling!

This is part of a series of 16 geocaches placed near outdoor art installations. The geocaches will only be available until mid-October. Each of the 16 in the series have a number between 1 and 99 on the logbook or container. For other geocaches in the series, see the bookmark list UCA 2016.

The first 20 finders can take one of these keychain flashlights:

The pattern on the keychain is the "original" UCA installation, the stick people of Wolfville.

The final is located at N 45 05.XXX W064 24.YYY. To determine the coordinates, let :

  • A = number found at stop 1
  • B = number found at stop 2

and so on. These numbers are NOT the stop numbers. That is, A is not "1". It is a number between 1 and 99. No two numbers are equal.

Now calculate:
  • XXX = A + B + D + E + F + G – J
  • YYY = (O*P) + M + H +( 2*I) – N – L – K

You may wonder what is significant about this location. It is near the area seen in Alex Colville's painting Seven Crows.
