On the southwest cornor of West Fourth and South McClure street stood an apartment house known as The Seven Gables. The house is long gone but has been replaced by a memorial to James Dean.
This is a two stage multicache which involves the memorial and the Jonesboro section of the Cardinal Greenway. The above coordinates will take you to the memorial but not the cache. To find the cache you will need to glean information from the memorial grounds. Again, please note the cache is not at the memorial.
The cache is located about 3 or 4 miles from the memorial along the Jonesboro section of the Cardinal Greenway. The cache is now a micro, a black rubber tube approximately 3 inches long and 1 inch in diameter. You will need a pen to sign log.
Please be watchful in the cache retrival. This section of the Greenway has a high incident of vandalism.
The cache is hidden at N 40 AB.C01 W 085 3W.XYZ. Read the back of the memorial and the signs to determine the coordinates for the cache.
A = the hour of Dean's birth
B = month of fatal accident
C = month of birth
W = number of gables on the two story apartment
X = number of letters in birth town
Y = year of Macbeth performance minus year of high school graduation
Z = substract the year he starred in East of Eden from the year he starred in Rebel Without a Cause
