The Knoll JDD Traditional Geocache

This cache has been placed by the students of the Year 11 VCAL Sport & Rec. As part of the VCAL course the students do a VET course, and they do Outdoor Recreation. Units that are completed include: bushwalking, navigation, surfing, snorkeling, sea kayaking, canoeing, fishing, as well as first aid and some theory units. It's a great course and alot of fun is had.

As part of the outdoor rec course the students do navigation here at Lysterfield. Whilst navigating the students were asked to find a location to hide a cache and this is the spot one group choose to hide their cache. In case you were wondering about the cache name, well a Knoll is a small hill in navigation terms and the cache is placed near the top of a small Knoll, and the JDD, is for the students who hide the cache Jakob, Dillon & Dillon. We utilize Lysterfield a lot for the course activities include bushwalking and navigation, canoeing and mountain biking.
