This will be the fourth time that the friends of the copperworks have asked South Wales Geocachers for some help with restoring the site. They have a specific area that needs clearing of invasive plants; it is an old building, minus roof, next to an area they have already cleared and not far from where we helped last time (the steps are now exposed too). It should be a satisfying experience, exposing the old building's walls.
If you don't fancy the gardening duty, there is also litter that needs picking.
FoWRC and Keep Wales Tidy will be inattendance to guide us and keep us safe (and provide insurance). The C&C of Swansea will collect our bagged litter and chip the plants we cut at a later date. Gloves, bags and litter pickers will be provided. Please bring secateurs and similar if possible.
For those of you who enjoyed doing battle with the shopping trolley (http://whiterocktrails.org/reclamation and scroll down for video of the escapade), there will be a repeat opportunity.
Please be warned there are no toilets on site though it isn't far to the edge of the enterprise park where some can be found. Whilst we won't be working especially close to the river (until the trolley fishing), please keep the usual close eye on children and pets.
