"The Floating Piers" will be three kilometers long and 16 meters wide, and will consist of 220,000 polyethylene cubes screwed together and coated with fabric. The walkway will be open around-the-clock, depending on weather conditions. There are no tickets, the event is free. Concerning parking, it seems that there will be several possibilities on the mainland, with a shuttle service to Sulzano. More informations can be found on the project website under "Getting Here".
Let's meet on Sunday noon at the T-junction where the walkway coming from the mainland meets the island. You'll recognize us by our geocaching T-shirts, and we'll stay there until about 12:30 with the logbook. We're looking forward to meet other geocachers at this fascinating installation !
