When we moved to upper Minnesota, we thought how the Scandinavian culture remained from immigration was really interesting. In some ways, Minnesota Scandinavian culture is a throwback to late 1800s Norway and in other ways it has evolved into its own Minnesota-ness. This cache is a tiny tribute to that and in Viking of all places. Inside when placed was a 20 kroner coin, an activated Scandinavian themed travel bug that wants to go to Svalbard, and a pig (because there are more pigs than people in Denmark).
