The Fujizuka of Shimonerima is a fujizuka (replica of the sacred mountain, Mt. Fuji) that was built on the grounds of Sengen Shrine.
This fujizuka is about 5 meters in height and 15 meters in diameter, and has features resembling the real Mt. Fuji, such as stones to indicate each station on the mountain trail. It is believed this fujizuka was built in the Edo period. Presently, the start of the mountain climbing season is still observed on July 1.
下練馬の富士塚
下練馬の富士塚は、浅間神社の境内に築かれた富士塚です。江戸時代に下練馬上宿、中宿の丸吉講により築かれたと考えられます。
