Geocache Description:

Note the cache is not at the listed coordinates.

At the coordinates listed above, lies a plaque with information about the tower.

No spoiler logs or photos please

On the fifth line after the heading, lies an important word. Remove the first and last letters to reveal a geo term. The number of letters remaining in that word gives you C.

The number of sides of the tower minus the number of glass windows of the tower gives you F

The remaining clues A, B, D and E are obtained from local caches "The Boat Shed", "Its a long way from Venice Beach", "Ficus macrophylla", "Bob" , and "Hanging around with Sir Joseph Banks"- (B=2, for Hanging around with Sir Joseph Banks) . The ideal way to do this cache, is to obtain the information at the above coordinates, then do the other traditional caches in a northerly direction.

Once all clues are obtatined then place them in S33 58.(A+5)(B-1)(C-4) E151 13.(D+5)(E+3)(F-1) to get the final cache coordinates

“La Perouse was named after the French navigator Jean-François de Galaup, comte de Lapérouse (1741–88), who landed on the northern shore of Botany Bay west of Bare Island on 26 January 1788. The La Perouse peninsula is the northern headland of Botany Bay. It is notable for its old military outpost at Bare Island and the Botany Bay National Park.”

Source Wikipedia.

Its well worth parking the car and taking the time to walk around this beautiful headland.

Bare Island has tours every Sunday (except the first Sunday of the month) at 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm. Blak Markets are held on the first Sunday of the month.

La Perouse also has a famous snake show which runs every 20 minutes from 1pm to 4pm on Sundays and public holidays.

La Perouse Museum is also open Sundays 10am-4pm.

Enjoy your visit. Beware the “MUGGLER”.

BYO pen.
