Youngs Bar
Youngs Bar has been a hot spot for fisherman for years. When the Silvers are running, people are practically standing shoulder to shoulder at the rivers edge. In the summer months when the river is low, a very large sandbar appears and is a favorite for day picnics, and fun at the beach. Although technically not a city park, it is looked after by the Parks Department. The southern end of this parking area belongs to the Department of Game, and requires a Discovery Pass to enter.
Use caution when driving in. The entrance has a bit of visibility issues when crossing over the dike.
