Trumpeter Trail Night Cache The Trumpeter Trail is another one of our fine paved trails. This particular trail is adopted by the Stonebridge Condo association. Trail adoption is a program within the Parks system allowing groups to take care of a trail. Most of the trails in Mount Vernon are adopted. To the west is Logan creek. The large empty field to the west of the trail is the Logan Creek Mitigation area. This is a .8 acre parcel of land with new plantings. This area can never be developed. When the Kiwanis Spray Park was built, so much land was covered with concrete, that the city was required to set aside a larger area to mitigate how much land we pave. This allows for rain absorption into the ground water, which keeps the creek flowing. About the cache. This is a night cache. Park at the given coordinates and navigate to the start point. Search for your first clue. This is a paved trail and you do not need to leave it.
