IV fortas

IV fortas įrengtas aukštumoje, prie kelio į Seirijus. Alytaus tvirtovės generaliniame plane 1887 m. rašoma, kad fortas sudaro vieningą kompleksą su Nemuno link besileidžiančia griova ir piliakalniu. 1920 m. plane nurodytas forto plotas net 20,0801 ha.

IV stronghold

IV stronghold is fitted in the hill, near the road to Seirijai. Alytus fortress master plan (year 1887) is stating that the stronghold is combined with ravine and mound near the river Nemunas. The area of the stronghold is 20.0801 hectares (data found in year 1920 plan).

Šis lobiukas yra iš lobių serijos “Olitos tvirtovė”. Ji skirta supažindinti su pamiršta Alytaus, kaip XIX-XX a. karinio miesto istorija. Lobiai paslėpti įvairiausiose Alytaus vietose: prie išnykusio geležinkelio, buvusiose kareivinėse, apleistuose fortuose, anuomet svarbių plentų pakelėse ir ne tik.

This geocache is from geocaching series called "Olita fortress". It's main purpose is to introduce geocachers with forgotten 19-20c history of Alytus as a fortress. Through geocaching we will encourage you to inquire interesting history of Alytus. Geocaches are hidden in forts, bridges etc.
