Geocache Description:


The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. You have to solve a puzzle, complete a Reverse Wherigo, and complete a multi-cache to get the actual coordinates.


This is a combination of a Reverse Wherigo, a puzzle, and a multi all in one. The difficulty is for all three elements combined and the terrain is due to specialized skills and/or equipment to be used to retrieve the cache.

1. New 7/20/19: The Puzzle: Convert the letters below to numbers.

FCGCAH (Sum of digits = 28)
CCGFAC (Sum of digits = 23)
CAIDDB (Sum of digits = 23)

2. The Reverse Wherigo: This Wherigo converts your player into a virtual version of the "Reverse Cache Box" which tells you the distance to the cache, but not the bearing. You may begin your search from any spot in the world using your Smartphone or Wherigo compatible GPS to navigate to the cache.

The cartridge can be accessed by clicking on the "related web page" link at the top of this page. Once you have solved the puzzle above you'll need to enter each 6-digit number into the player.

3. New 7/20/19: The Multi: The Reverse Wherigo will take you to some information boards. There is a parking area close by.

The cache will be at N 38° 4A.BCD W 121° 2E.FGH. Find A through H from the following:

A: The number of picnic tables within view.
B: Which corridor is listed after the Water Supply Corridor?
C: Maidu, ?, Railroads, Suburbia.
D: Find the Mission Statement. What is the last word?

E: Under the "What You Can Do" section: Education and ?
F: A nearby blue sign has three numbers on it. Add the numbers together.
G: The last number of the phone number for the Parks Division. If you see more than one phone number use the weekday number.
H: Under the "What You Can Do" section: ? Landowners.

The sum of the digits A through H = 27

4. The hide: The cache is hanging in a tree about 1/3 mile walk from the information boards. It is right next to an established path/trail so there is no need to bushwhack or go off trail. It may be a difficult retrieval so come prepared. Please be sure to place it back in the same spot.

Please note that the final location is in a regional park that is only open from 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset.
