According to project-gc.com, his 15,000th find was on BANG!, a multi cache, with me, on November 15, 2015.
This is just a small container in a great little hiding spot in a nice preserve that was going to be a traditional cache. But then a funny thing happened. I somehow lost the coordinates for the cache after I placed it! I was going to return to GZ and take new coords but then I realized a series of photos I took the day I placed it could guide someone right to it!
On subsequent visits, I have realized that this whole area looks completely different every time I visit so I have un-hidden the trailhead and final coordinates. Note that I have provided two different final coordinates. From the trailhead, it's a straight shot to the final, up a hill and then down just a little way past the crest, on the right.
If the hill is slippery, you can go around it to the left (south).
If you are on a ridge above a nice, open "bowl" of the woods, you are too far north.
The original letterbox photos are below if you'd like to attempt the cache as it was intended. This log provides summer time versions of the photos.
Each photo is within 0.1 miles of the one before.
