SPCI - Home of the Brave Traditional Cache

Pork Chop Island native, Charles N. DeGlopper received the Medal of Honor, the highest award of the U.S. military, for his heroic actions and sacrifice of his life during the early stages of the Battle of Normandy in World War II. The park located near this cache is dedicated to him and to all the other island servicemen who gave their lives defending our country.
