Ezekiel Evans (1856-1930)

Evans was born close to Bowmanville, Ontario on May 8, 1856.  He and his wife, Elizabeth Little, moved to Brandon in 1881.  They built a home in the Grand Valley area but flooding on the Assiniboine River forced them to move.  Ezekiel was a member of Brandon's first city council and was Brandon's Mayor from 1897 to 1898.  He passed away in BC on May 15, 1930.
