BACKSTORY:
The Kittitas County Fair is one of the oldest fairs in the State of Washington. Since the first fair was held on the outskirts of Ellensburg in 1886, fairgoers have returned again and again to visit the fine arts and photography, youth crafts, and 4H/FFA agricultural and livestock exhibitions.
The Kittitas County Fair offers great food, exciting carnival rides and games, a step into the past in Frontier Village, and the Ellensburg Rodeo.
Thanks in part to a Heritage Capital Projects grant from the Washington State Historical Society, the Kittitas Valley Event Center provides a unique venue that can accommodate everything from a small, private meeting to a public exhibition, equestrian or livestock event.
