Edmund Fotheringham (1879-1960)
Edmund was born on January 31, 1879 in Rothsay, Ontario. He moved to Winnipeg in 1911 and then came to Brandon in 1920. He started a produce business and later bought a small creamery which he later sold to the Manitoba Co-Op. Edmund was the Director of the Western Broadcasters Limited, an Honorary Director of Brandon College and the Provincial Exhibition and director of several Brandon companies. He was also the Chairman of the Brandon General Hospital for many years.
Edmund served as the Mayor of Brandon from 1932 - 1933.
He died in Brandon on June 16, 1960 and is buried at the Brandon Cemetery. Fotheringham Drive, located in Brandon, was named to commemorate Edmund.
