William Keith Wilton (1919-1992)
More commonly known as Bill. Born on January 15, 1919 near High Bluff, Manitoba. He was a farmer and businessman and became activie in the automotive industry when he moved to Brandon in 1957 and purchased Victoria Motors. He renamed it Wilton Motors and had the business until 1969 when he sold it to his son. Bill was actively involved in the Brandon Wheat Kings, Brandon Curling Club, and the Brandon Golf and Country Club.
He served as Mayor from 1970 to 1974. It was during his term that the Keystone Centre was constructed and opened in 1973.
