When we first got into caching, we noticed that there were quite a few caches close to home. One of them happened to be some place in this field area. It had the "Rabbit" in the title... I think. I do recall that the CO for that cache mentioned seeing rabbits in this field when they were placing the cache. We found lots of other caches close and far but left the cache that was here alone. We always told ourselves that we would eventually find it someday... but we never got around to it. For some reason, the cache was disabled. Everytime I drove by this quiet little field, I thought about that cache. I decided to hide a cache here in memory of it. I don't know if I am hiding my cache in the same spot the other one was hidden in or not. The title to this cache came to mind after seeing a rabbit near the blackberry bushes as I walked back to my car. I thought of the "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" rabbit and I knew I had my title for this cache!
After seeing that a new cacher has moved into the area and started hiding new caches, we thought we better claim this field before they beat us to it! The cache container that we are using was given to us by fellow cacher and friend PlR359. :) The type of camo used to cover this was inspired after finding caches from CNBAA, pkurfess, loggirls and kazo2010. So blame them. :P
There's no need to look into the blackberry bushes. Just stay on the border and keep your head down.
Bring your own pen. An extracting tool might be needed to remove the log. Please be careful when opening the cache for the logbook. Close it tight and replace as you found it! Thanks! This might not be appropriate for night caching due to the neighbors across the street. No room for trinkets.
I am removing the hint that I had previously posted. I was wanting this to be a little difficult. If there are too many DNFs listed, I will post a better hint.
UPDATE: 09/16/16: It has come to my attention that the blackberries are growing like crazy! I went out today to check on them and they are growing like crazy! They have engulfed the post and expanded beyond. I went ahead and cleared out a little opening to the spot so you should be able to get to it with minimal damage. Hopefully, when fall comes, the blackberries will recede.
UPDATE: 09/02/19: I attached a new container to a new piece of camo and placed it back in it's original hiding spot. Should be pretty easy to find. Just be careful with it when you open it and close it. No "feats of strength" are needed to open it. The tube should fit right into the ground. I try to trim the blackberries back a couple times a month but they just come back with a vengeance!
