Trailhead for this 5 km hike is on Battery Road on north side of Brigus. Hike gets under way with fairly steep climb to top of ridge. Take a brief rest at the top and enjoy the view back to this historic town. Brigus is renowned for its Blueberry Festival, architecture and rock walls.
From the ridge the trail descends into a valley and winds its way to the lighthouse. Trail is marked and provides some spectacular views of Conception Bay and surrounding communities. The trail is safe but can be a bit of a physical challenge in places.
Allow 1-1/2 hrs to reach the lighthouse. Be sure to pack a lunch and enjoy the scenery and the feeling of accomplishment.
