Geocache Description:

This is one of the Governors Island Caches. You will need to take a ferry to get here; the Island is open late May to late September, seven days a week. Please do not post photos of the entire cache, but there is a historic card inside it to take a photo of to share. This cache is wheelchair accessible.

Cache is Regular Size. You will have a superb view of the Brooklyn waterfront and Buttermilk Channel as your approach the cache. Be careful when making the grab as there are many bicyclists nearby. Clue: Governors Island was involved in important missions during World War 1 and this was one of the places where the ships landed.
