The Pacific Northwest has its Bigfoot, Lake Cushman has its Creature, and this area has the even more elusive Rebawk Llama.
The legend says that the Rebawk Llama creates its den in forested areas, but still close enough to civilization that it can be spotted in the dark of the night.
A few mighty hunters have actually trapped the Rebawk Llama. To capture the Rebawk Llama, you will need a PAPER BAG AND A STICK. A photo is attached, demonstrating the proper Rebawk Llama hunting technique.
To search for the Rebawk Llama, park at the gate. Walk past the gate. GLINTS WILL BE 12' HIGH. Once into the taller trees, you will begin to see glints on the left, about 12' high. 3 in total along the way, before you should see DOUBLE glints 12' high on the left. Stop here. Glints 12' high to the left mark your path to the den. Along this short path, there should be a pile of sticks to your right, for those who forgot their stick (it is recommended to have your stick before this point, though, so you can become familiar with your weapon). BE SURE TO HAVE YOUR STICK AND PAPER BAG as you approach the den. There will be a tree with glints 12' high in a DIAMOND pattern. This is GZ. The Rebawk Llama is particularly fond of souls, so be very quiet. Although you have your stick, your greatest weapon will be the element of surprise. Hold your breath (the Rebawk Llama can hear you breathe) and shine your flashlight around.
Please feel free to share pictures of your Rebawk Llama hunt, but please do not share pictures of GZ, the Rebawk Llama, or its den.
Inside the lid of the cache container, you will find the origin of the Rebawk Llama story. It involves our now adult son.
Be sure to hold your flashlight at EYE level, but directed upwards, for maximum effectiveness. We initially had the glints AT eye level, but someone helped themselves to all of them, so now the glints are about 12' high in each tree. You are looking for amber glints. The glints will also lead you out (they're super cool, we're super impressed with them lol).
The Rebawk Llama's den is about 20 minutes beyond the gate. This night cache is good for the little cachers, as well as the big ones!
There is a prize for FTF.
Please replace cache container exactly as found.
