I wasn't always a fence post! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hawkeye0222: I visited GZ yesterday and it appears that the stump that used to hold the cache within it has rotted a bit and the cache has found it's way down to the base of the stump. Rest in Peace, "I wasn't always a fence post!"

Geocache Description:

A quick park and grab on a country road.  Road side parking is available, but watch for trucks as the area has a bit of industry around.  (concrete pant, field drainage and gravel pits as well as many farms)  The cache is a small camouflaged pill bottle.  BYOP

This area was settled in the early 1850's primarily by Mennonite families who immigrated from Pennsylvania.  The area still has many farms that are owned by the original Families who settled here.  While you are driving around the area you may see Mennonite buggies or farmers plowing fields or harvesting crops using horse drawn farm equipment.  Local farm produce is available in season at many of the farm houses or small stalls that have been built out by the raod.  I hope you enjoy the area.
