Που είμαι;
Αν και είμαι τεράστιο με μήκος 6 μέτρα και ύψος 2.5 μέτρα, κρύφτηκα λίγο. Κρίμα γιατί είμαι ένα πανέμορφο ψηφιδωτό! Τι λέτε;
Θα με βρείτε λιγότερα από 200 μέτρα – εναέρια απόσταση – από τις αρχικές συντεταγμένες. Αν πάτε τρία ή τέσσερα βήματα από την δεξιά μου άκρη θα βρείτε το κουτάκι (μαγνήτης) πάνω από τα “ιστιοφόρα”.
Η ιστορία του ψηφιδωτού:
Αυτό το ψηφιδωτό είναι το έργο των μέλλων του Ιστιοπλοϊκού Ομίλου Αγίου Νικολάυ (ΙΟΑΝ).
Το σχέδιο του είναι της Κατερίνας Αρναουτάκης, που εκφράζει με τα δελφίνια με τα διαφορετικά μπλε την ιδιαίτερη ατμόσφερα της θάλασσας. Πολλές λεπτομέρειες θυμίζουν για παλαιά Κρητικά σχέδια με ορισμένη συμασία.
Για την εκτέλεση του έργου βοήθησαν δεκαπέντε άτομα – παιδιά και οι γονείς τους – και δούλευαν παραπάνω από 1400 ώρες. Το 2015 είχαν ολοκληρώσει τα διαφορετικά κομμάτια και συναρμολογήθηκαν στον τοίχο. Τώρα ο τοίχος είναι αξιοθέατο, παλαιότερα υπήρχαν μόνο κάποια άσχημα γκραφίτι.
Ο “οδηγός” για όλους τους συμμετοχές του έργου ήταν η Maria Grazia Pasqualini, η οποία που είναι μαζί με τα παιδιά της εδώ και πολλά χρόνια μέλη του ΙΟΑΝ.

Where am I?
Even if I have a big size (about 6 meter wide and 2.5 meter high), you will find me a little bit hidden. It is a pity, because - with my opinion - I am a really fantastic mosaic! What would you say?
You will find me within a radius of 200 meter of the original coordinates. When you have found me it is only 3 or four steps away from my right edge. The container is magnetic and above the „sailing boats“.
The story of the mosaic:
This mosaic has been realized by members of the Sailing Club of Agios Nikoloas.
It was Κατερίνα Αρναουτάκη (Katerina Arnaoutaki) who was responsible for the design of the mosaic. The blue colored dolfins refer to the atmospere of the sourrounding sea. All the patterns which you will find in the mosaic are reminding to old Cretan ornaments with specific meanings.
The project has been performed by about 15 persons – kids, youngsters and parents – and they worked more than 1400 hours until all the different parts were ready to be assembled onto the wall in 2015. This brilliant mosaic now covers those not very nice graffitis which covered the wall before.
All the organization of the project was in the hands of Maria Grazia Pasqualini, who herself togehter with her kids are members of the sailing club since years.

Wo bin ich?
Obwohl ich immerhin 6 Meter breit und 2,50 Meter hoch bin, bin ich etwas versteckt. Ein wenig schade, bin ich doch ein sehr schönes Mosaik. Was meint Ihr?
Ihr findet mich weniger als 200 Meter (Luftlinie) von den Originalkoordinaten entfernt. Von meiner rechten Seite braucht Ihr nur drei oder vier Schritte nach rechts zu gehen und findet die Dose magnetisch über „Segelbooten“.
Die Geschichte dieses Mosaiks:
Dieses Mosaik ist das Werk von Mitgliedern des Segelclubs von Agios Nikoloas.
Der Entwurf stammt von Κατερίνα Αρναουτάκη (Katerina Arnaoutaki), die mit den in Blautönen gehaltenen Delfinen die Atmosphäre des umgebenden Meeres eingefangen hat. Die im Bild zu sehenden Muster erinnern an alte kretische Ornamente mit definierter Bedeutung.
In diesem Projekt arbeiteten fünfzehn Personen – Kinder, Jugendliche und Eltern – mehr als 1400 Stunden an den verschiedenen Teilen des Werkes. 2015 wurden die vorgefertigten Teile an dieser Wand zusammengefügt, an einer Wand, die zuvor nur von ein paar unschönen Graffitis verunziert war.
Die Leitung des Projekts lag in den Händen von Maria Grazia Pasqualini, die zusammen mit ihren Kindern auch seit Jahren Mitglied des Segelclubs ist.
