The auctioning off of town site lots occurred under the shade of this massive tree in October of 1880. In 1881 the railroad gave four acres around the tree for construction of the town’s first school, Kyle Seminary.
Please respect the private residence located here. Do not park in driveway or on the grass. Please keep feet on the sidewalk. Lots of parking available at #1 of the tour.
