This cache is part of a series called "Flag Day in Flag City." Findlay, Ohio, is officially designated "Flag City, U.S.A." and is the Flag Capital of the United States. As such, it seemed only fitting that there be a flag GeoArt in the area to commemorate this fact.

The United Nations is an intergovernmental body, founded in October 1945 in the wake of the Second World War. Headquarted in Manhattan, New York, it replaced the less effective League of Nations. Its membership has gown from 51 members to 193 in the present day. Its main bodies are the UN General Assembly, the UN Secretariat, the International Court of Justice, the UN Security Council, the UN Social/Economic Council, and the UN Trusteeship Council (inactive).
