A geocache hidden along the Zig-Zag track above Wainuiomata. The trailhead is in Fraser Street across from the BP Station. A steady uphill climb will get you close. Then a short drop off the path to the GZ.
This cache is on a track that eventually will take you all the way up to Mt Lowry. At the road end of the trail the vegetation is low and a regenerating mix of kanuka, gorse and fast growing native trees such as kamahi and Pseudopanax. The cache should be fairly easy to find once the geotrail is formed. Try to avoid opening up the route near the main track. The cache is an ammo container with a few swaps when placed. Plenty of room for swaps and trackables.
