Geocache Description:

Near the start of a lovely walk around the river and Loompit Lake.

It provides a good starting point for the Orwell Thorpe Bay (GC11WCG) cache too if you park at N51 59.638 E001 16.547.

Just beyond the cache the path follows the river wall past Loompit Lake.  Plenty of bird life here, along with the odd bird spotter and angler.

It has a decent path most of the way and should be suitable for buggies or wheelchairs (certainly in the summer) but it might be a bit bumpy.  Wheelchair users will definitely need help retrieving the cache though as it's a few yards off the path.

The cache is a screw top plastic tuppleware cup (about ½ pint) camouflaged with some brown tape.  It started off with various small swaps.
