Uphill along the dirt road from Fuyinxuan pavilion of the Summer Palace on the west side , on sides of the deep trees dense, thorny, jagged rocks. Intermittent step at the end, a huge sand standing, about two meters five high and four meters long, South smooth inscribed with four incised characters:“Yan Tai Da Guan”，I think it means that "Yan Tai Wonderland".
从颐和园的福荫轩西侧沿土路上山，两边林深树密，荆棘丛生，乱石参差。断断续续的台阶尽头，一块巨大的沙石兀立，高约两米五，长有四米，南向平整光滑，上面镌刻着四个斗方阴刻大字：“燕台大观”。
The inscription preserved here few people tread. QianLong emperor of Qing Dynasty sflaunt their own careers, creating prosperity of the valiant record.
这里人迹罕至，题刻保存完好，应是清漪园时的旧物了。乾隆以此标榜自己招贤纳士，开创盛世的丰功伟绩。
