LET OP: cache bereikbaar tijdens verbouw plantsoen. In het Heycopplantsoen staat 5000 kilo kunst van de Utrechtse kunstenaar Ruud Kuijer. Het was zo zwaar dat het met de bierboot (waarmee restaurant aan de Oude Gracht worden bevoorraad) gebracht is over het kanaal. Kuijer heeft zich bij het maken van het kunst-speelobject laten inspireren door ideeën van kinderen uit de buurt. Het beeld is gemaakt met afgietsels van, door de kinderen, meegebrachte voorwerpen zoals een hockeystick, broodtrommel, frisbee etc. Het kunstwerk is bijna vijf meter.
Ruud Kuijer is vooral bekend van het grootschalige sculpturenproject Waterwerken aan het Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal op bedrijventerrein Lage Weide.
Als je de cache hebt gevonden, maak dan nog een rondje langs het kanaal naar de veilinghaven, in de wijk Parkhaven/Dichterswijk zijn in totaal 13 objecten van Ruud Kuijer te vinden.
Dit maakt onderdeel uit van het Ringpark Dichterswijk. Kijk op de facebook pagina of de site. Binnenkort wordt het mogelijk om een rondje ringpark te wandelen.
Het park is druk met kinderen en wandelaars. De cache is al een paar ik leeg geroofd, dus let op !

In the Heycopplantsoen stands an art object, weighing 5000 kilos, made by local artist Ruud Kuijer. It was so heavy, that it was transported on the beerboat (the boat is used to supply the restaurants in the Oude Gracht) over the canal. Kuijer was inspired by ideas from neighborhood children when creating the art-play object. The sculpture is made with casts of the items the children brought such as a hockey stick, lunchbox, frisbee etc. The artwork is almost five meters high.
Ruud Kuijer is best known for the large-scale sculpture project Waterwerken along the Amsterdam-Rijn Canal at Lage Weide.
After you find the cache, please take a tour along the canal to the Veilinghaven, in the Parkhaven /Dichterswijk area you will find a total of 13 objects by Ruud Kuijer. This area is part of the Ringpark, see the facebook page. Soon it will be possible to walk a full circle through the ringpark
The park is very busy with children. De cache has been looted several times, so be careful!
