The Norscot Koppies & Kingfisher Reserve is ONLY open on the second & last Sundays of every month. Summer: September to April 7h30 - 18h00. Winter: May to August 08h30 - 17h00. These will be the only days & times that you can access the cache. The trail is an easy walk so it is great for the whole family - pack some goodies in a backpack & go enjoy a picnic in nature. The trail is designed as a self-guided walk where you can see the old granite mining areas & all sorts of fauna & flora. A gorgeous mommy Blesbok & her baby came to say Hi while we were hiding the cache. You can purchase a map at the trailhead but you don't really need one as the trail is clarly marked. There is no entrance fee but you are encouraged to make a small donation towards the upkeep of the reserve at the gate. Please take hats, sunblock & plenty of water (there is a drinking tap at marker number 10). Shortly after marker number 10 on your left you will see the boardwalk to the hide. Go into the hide & then exit down the steel staircase at the back, the cache is hanging around under the bridge like a troll. Micro container that has a logbook & can hold very tiny trade items. BYOP & please replace container exactly as found!
