Squirt aka Squirty Pants, Pursey, Squirt Bird
Squirt was my niece's cat originally.
Then she asked me to take care of him for a couple of weeks, a month at the most until she could fly him out west. The moment our son heard that he bet me that Squirt would never be flying out west but would remain our cat. He was right and I bought him a delicious breakfast at Cora's for losing that bet.
I am so glad that Squirt never did leave as he was such a special cat to us. He was aptly named because he did have problems urinating but when he did it would squirt anyplace and everyplace he needed to to relive the pressure and discomfort he had because of this problem. He loved watermelon, blueberries and apples practically any other fruit you were eating. He would greet meet at the door when I came home from work and I would carry him around like a purse under my arm. He also loved to climb and would often end up in our delicate oriental maple tree when I called him because it was time to come in side. We lost him too early and miss him dearly as he held a special place in our hearts and we think of him often.
