St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery
St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church is known as a "German" Lutheran church and is located in Section 18 of Harrison Township. The cemetery is located directly north of the church. There is no record of the exact date when services were held for the first time in a schoolhouse near Mackey. Historical records of the past indicate that this service was held in 1868. As the membership continued to increase, a schoolhouse was not longer suitable for worship. Through the generosity of Louis Ahrens, who donated 15 acres for a church site, a very pleasing location for church, school and cemetery was provided for the growing congregation and on October 29, 1876, a building was dedicated as the first church building. The present building was erected in 1898 and the school building in 1917.
