On the 13th of June 2005, my oldest brother had a car accident here where the car that hit him flew over the hill going 130km/h.The driver was drunk at the time and got away unscathed, my brother and his 2 passengers did not, receiving moderate to severe injuries. 11 years on they are fully recovered. This bridge was built as part of the Windsor Walkway as this stretch of road is somewhat unsafe for pedestrians. If you look across the road, you will see a grey power pole, which was replaced as a result of the car smashing into it. So please think twice before getting behind the wheel if you've had a few beersies!
The walkway itself was completed in 2011 and is a 4.5km loop with great farming landscapes and views of the mountain
