Geocache Description:

The history of the Kwannon Temple is back in the 17th Century. In 1615, a Buddhist priest Shusei founded this temple. Chishakuin is the head temple of the Chisan School of the Shingon section of Buddhisum and about 3,000 temples belong to Chisan School in Japan, and this Kwannon Temple is one of them.

A large bell placed on the ground had been once contributed to the Army during WWII to be melted to build cannons, but has been safely returned around 40 years later.

The cache is hidden just outside the temple.
