Welcome to the 2016 WCPARC Geocaching Adventure! This year, we have 9 caches hidden in our system of parks and preserves for you to find. All of our Geocaching Adventure caches are regular in size and start out with a log book, pen, pencil, and some sweet swag for trading... with the exception of our Challenge Cache. On the inside of each logbook cover, you will find two code words or phrases. Keep track of these; when you have found all eight of the regular 2016 caches, send us an email (PLEASE do NOT use the "send a message" function!) with your name, mailing address, and the list of code words to receive a collectible tag! Please do not forget to send us your mailing address; without this, we cannot send you your prize! As always, the first geocacher to complete the Geocaching Adventure (all nine regular caches, plus the Challenge Cache!) will receive a special FTF award from WCPARC. Please do your best to return the cache container to its hiding spot, including adding cover (leaves, sticks, etc.) to camouflage it for the next cacher. Thank you, and enjoy our Geocaching Adventure!
At last, a WCPARC hide that welcomes dogs... and unleashed at that! Please be respectful of other dogs and their humans while hunting for this geocache, and please watch your step in case a dog owner chose to not be respectful to others. Please also carefully return the cache to the black rigging that holds it in place. Please note that this park is unsupervised and that dogs must have an annual permit tag on their collar in order to use Swift Run Dog Park; humans, however, do not need a permit. To register your dog with Washtenaw County Parks, please visit the WCPARC web site.
Swift Run Dog Park is open year round from dawn to dusk; the park is typically closed Monday mornings and Fridays in the early afternoon for maintenance. Please make sure that the cache is put back into its snug black rigging so that it stays hidden and secure for other geocachers to find. Thanks and happy caching!
